Last night, we were fortunate to attend the cocktail reception for the new Kimpton Hotel held for brokers and select real estate agents.
The highly anticipated Kimpton Hotel project in the Cayman Islands is the first Kimpton Hotel to be located outside the United States as well as being the first Kimpton Hotel offering made available to the Caribbean market.
The Kimpton Hotel project broke ground in early 2012 and is located along Seven Mile Beach on the old and now demolished Grand Cayman Courtyard Marriott Beach Resort site and is expected to be a boutique resort style hotel housed in one of a pair of 10 storey buildings being built on this site.
The hotel itself will comprise 263 rooms with 5 restaurants, and the hotel guests will have the unique option of roof-top dining in one of the restaurants affording guests far reaching views of the Caribbean sea. The residences are expected to comprise 56 luxury grand residences with the addition of 6 separate beachfront bungalows also being built. The Kimpton Hotel project is on track and scheduled to open its doors to guests in early 2017.
During the reception, attendees’ were given a detailed site tour of the property and buildings along with a comprehensive information. During the evening, the long awaited reveal of the projects NEW name was introduced as “Seafire” and will be officially known as The Residences at Seafire Resort and Spa.
Pricing, availability, and strata fee information will be forthcoming very shortly as these long awaited properties are set to come to the sales market prior to the fast approaching exit of 2015. Stay tuned.
