The Cayman Islands newest hotel, The Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa has recently been awarded the highly coveted AAA (American Automobile Association) Five Diamond Rating.
This distinction is the highest possible rating from the trusted American travel experts and is a huge distinction in the hospitality world.
These AAA Diamond ratings are for hotels that encompass a combination of overall quality, the range of facilities offered and a level of services offered by the property being reviewed. The significant ratings are given exclusively to the properties that meet and uphold the AAA’s demanding approval standards. According to the association itself, the five-diamond designation is the highest award a hotel can possibly receive. It describes a property that displays the ultimate in luxury. A property that shows a level of sophistication and comfort with extraordinary physical attributes. It also demarks a commitment to meticulous personalized service, extensive on site amenities and impeccable standards of excellence throughout. There are extensive criteria that must be met by the property, staff, amenities and services and all must happen simultaneously during the review process. This distinction was even highlighted as a critical plot point in the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Oceans Thirteen’.
This distinguished honor is the first AAA Five Diamond Rating for the Kimpton brand and cements the property as a premier resort according to a recent press release. Less than half of one percent of +/- 28,000 properties approved by AAA attain the five diamond ranking.
The AAA organization conducts in-person property inspections as a service to the AAA members. The inspections are unannounced and unknown to the staff at the time they are undertaken. AAA has been conducting these professional evaluations and publishing the results for its membership for over eighty years and is widely considered to be the industry standard in hospitality and restaurant rating. These evaluations and their strict criteria are guided by their membership’s priorities and are performed by AAA at tens of thousands of properties throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and in the Caribbean.
